“Changing lives one smile at a time”
Did you know that tooth decay is the single most common childhood chronic disease, five times more common than asthma?
The Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic (WCCDC) is a non profit 501(c) dental clinic which opened in May 2008 to provide full time dental care to low income Waukesha County residents. The WCCDC has a paid dental team, as well as volunteer dental professionals who provide dental care at the clinic. Dental care is not free, but fees do not exceed $20 per visit. To be eligible for services, one must income qualify having income falling below 200% of the U.S. Federal Poverty Guideline and be underinsured or uninsured.
On June 1, 2012, the WCCDC expanded the services provided to low income adults. These individuals receive dental treatment limited to comprehensive exams, dental cleanings, simple restorations and simple extractions, either at the WCCDC or in local dental offices.
The WCCDC is creating a healthier life and a brighter future for families who live and work in our community.
