What is the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic?
The Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic, Inc. is a not for profit clinic for low income individuals who live in Waukesha County. All of our costs are funded by patient payments, individual donors, grants, and by Medicaid payments.
What does the clinic do?
The main goal of the dental clinic is to increase access to dental care for children and adults with limited financial resources and elevate the oral health care for this population. In addition, the clinic will provide oral health education and prevention services in collaboration with community partners.
Is this a free clinic?
It is not a free clinic. However, patients will pay $10, $15 or $20 per visit, depending on income. The clinic is NOT a local, state, or federal agency.
Do you see patients with the state health insurance?
We do see patients with Badgercare/Forward Card.
Do you see children with special needs?
The WCCDC does provide dental care to children with special needs.
Does your staff speak Spanish?
There are 4 bilingual (Spanish) staff members, which includes the dentist.
How do I make an appointment?

What are the clinic’s hours?
The clinic is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.; from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The clinic has a full time dentist, hygienist, dental assistants, receptionists, clinic coordinator, and executive director.
Which services do you provide?
The WCCDC has established a “floor of service” for adults and children.

For children and pregnant women with urgent needs, the clinic will provide basic care and emergencies with an appointment only.

Clinical procedures include comprehensive oral exams, emergency oral exams, preventive services including oral hygiene instruction, fluoride treatments and sealants, x-rays, restorative services, and extractions.

For adults, the clinic will provide emergency care only. Adults are given a limited exam to access the emergency. If there is infection, an antibiotic is prescribed. If an extraction of the tooth is necessary, the extraction is completed by staff dentists. If the emergency requires other treatment not provided at WCCDC, these patients are referred to dentists who take Title 19 or St. Joe’s Dental Clinic for continued treatment.
